Why We Started

Surgery has a funny way of slowing life down.

While Brett was recovering, he finally had time to take a closer look at his diet, the ingredient labels on everyday products, and how complicated personal care had become.

It was an eye-opener.

About a year later, Brett kept having the same dream about making body balm. He tried to ignore it, but God clearly wasn’t giving up—and neither was the dream. Eventually, Brett took the hint.

So we made a batch.

Then another.

Monique was there from the very first one, helping test, adjust, and figure out what worked—and what definitely did not.

What started with one recurring dream became something we built together as a family.

Then It Got Personal

After a salon coloring treatment left Monique’s hair badly damaged, dry, and difficult to manage, she found herself using 11 different hair products trying to make it look and feel healthy again.

Eleven products.

Our Hair Balm replaced them for her.

Her hair felt softer, looked smoother and shinier, and became much easier to manage. That was the moment we knew we were creating more than another tin of balm.

We were creating products that could genuinely simplify everyday routines.

We Made a Lot of Balm Before We Got It Right

For more than a year, we melted, mixed, tested, adjusted, learned, and started over.

Our family and friends willingly tried batch after batch and gave us the honest feedback we needed to improve.

Some batches were too hard. Some were too soft. Some were too gritty. Others simply did not perform well enough.

Natural was not enough.

It had to work.
